Cervical Smears

Cervical cancer can be significantly reduced by cervical screening.  The national cervical screening programme, recommends smears for all women between 25 and 64.  Women will receive invitations every 3 yrs until age 50, then every 5 yrs.  On receiving an invitation, please book an appointment with a practice nurse, who will carry out the test.  For more information click on the link below.

Women who have read all of the facts, and wish to withdraw from the screening programme, can download and complete a form below.  Please ensure you have read the "cervical screening - the facts" leaflet prior to completing the withdrawal form.  Please post the completed form to the practice for our records.
