Admin Staff

We have a large staff to support the work of the clinicians at the practice.

Practice Manager

Lesley Mayo is our practice manager. Lesley has been a practice manager for a number of years and has worked at Dukes Avenue Practice since November 2000. Lesley supervises all the non-clinical work at the practice and works closely with the partners to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Lesley is happy to speak to patients who may have a suggestion or who may be unhappy about an aspect of the care they receive at the practice. You may also write to her at the practice.

Receptionists

Many of you will know Joyce Fordyce who leads our team of receptionists. Joyce is our longest serving current receptionist. She is responsible for ensuring that everything runs smoothly in reception. Joyce is ably supported by Carrie, Sarah, Aleksandra, Natalie and Sam. As well as making appointments, our reception staff deal with prescriptions, test results, scanning post, booking ambulances and general queries from patients.

We have other staff who work away from the frontline carrying out vital work.

Administrators

Toni is one of our administrators. She is able to assist with enquiries about referral letters, insurance and other claim forms. Toni is currently on maternity leave and while she is away her job is being carried out by Mari who previously worked in our reception.

Hasvina deals with all the work that needs to be done when a patients registers at the practice or moves to another area. Hasvina also has the difficult task of opening the mountain of post that arrives at the practice every day. Marina and Moira also work in the practice office. Marina does data entry work and ensures that all the information that appears on patients notes is correct. Moira deals with petty cash, maternity and records information about any patients who are seen by our out of hours organisation.

Attached Staff

We have an alcohol advisor who runs a clinic here every week and a nurse who provides a smoking cessation clinic weekly.
